Kevin Reynolds will be named the Villa Park boys’ basketball coach, a source said Sunday.
Frank Becker, Villa Park athletic director, said a coach would be named today and declined to name him. But a source said Reynolds would replace Steve Harris, who resigned at the end of the season.
Reynolds was an assistant at Servite in 1993-94, then became the Friars’ interim coach after Scott Hamilton was suspended.
The Friars were 14-3 under Reynolds and reached the semifinals of the Southern Section III-A playoffs.
Reynolds has been an assistant at Fullerton and Villa Park.
