Fountain Valley Routs Alemany in Second Round

Daniel Keller and Greg Hanoian hit home runs to help Fountain Valley to a 11-1 victory over host Mission Hills Alemany in a second-round game in the Southern Section Division I baseball playoffs Tuesday.

Keller’s sixth-inning home run gave the Barons (23-3) a 4-1 lead. Hanoian’s two-run home run was part of a seven-run seventh for Fountain Valley, which had 13 hits. Fountain Valley plays Capistrano Valley Friday in the quarterfinals.

Winning pitcher Luke Hudson (6-1) gave up seven hits in six innings.
