In other Division II games:

Bellflower 3, Rosary 2--Rosary rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but came up short when pinch-runner Sarah Belavic was thrown out at home with two outs.

The third-seeded Royals (21-7) were down, 3-0, with one out, when Erin Connors walked and Laura Fulton reached base on an error. Robyn Leonhardt singled to load the bases. Leslie Fulton singled to scored Connors and Laura Fulton scored on Regina Martins’ sacrifice fly. Belavic was then thrown out trying to score on a Julie Luna single.

Lakewood 1, Ocean View 0--Angela Bessolo pitched a three-hit shutout with three strikeouts and Jen Spigner’s two-out RBI triple drove in Jamie Buksa with the game’s only run for Lakewood (25-5). Kathy Ponce gave up only three hits with seven strikeouts for Ocean View (18-7-1) in a matchup of two of the division’s top pitchers.

West Covina 1, Fullerton 0--Fullerton’s Kiki McAulay was thrown out trying to score on Angie Fancuberta’s two-out, sixth inning single. Fullerton (20-8), the defending Division II champion, was also unable to capitalize on two other scoring opportunities.

In Division III:

Savanna 6, Palmdale Highland 4--Katie Johnson hit a double in the third inning and Sandra Mulder hit a fly ball to center for an RBI single to lead Savanna (18-7). Savanna plays the winner of the El Segundo-Moreno Valley Canyon Springs game Thursday.

Magnolia 6, Laguna Hills 2--Tiffany Mercado reached base three times, scoring twice, and Sofia Garcia had two RBIs for Magnolia (17-8-1).

In Division VI:

Temecula Linfield 18, Connelly 4--Rosie Garcia hit a three-run triple in the third inning for host Connelly (11-5).

St. Margaret’s 5, Hesperia Christian 2--Abby Arnold had two RBIs and Amber Arnold scored twice to lead St. Margaret’s (11-8).
