JC FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Moorpark’s Clemons in Gear as Raiders Overrun West L.A.
Gary Clemons ran for four touchdowns and Tim Wolleck kicked two field goals as Moorpark College defeated West L.A., 34-8, in a Western State Conference South Division game Saturday at West L.A.
Clemons, who rushed for 79 yards in 14 carries, had scoring runs of one, three, one and 14 yards. Wolleck’s field goals went for 37 and 41 yards.
Moorpark (5-1, 4-1, 2-0) gained 267 yards in 45 carries.
West L.A. (2-4, 0-4, 0-2) scored with 49 seconds to play on a five-yard run by Jason Grant. Billy Clark blocked a Moorpark punt to set up the score.
Moorpark had three interceptions, two by defensive back Kerry Miller. The Raiders allowed only 86 yards.
