Michael Harrison has stepped down as football coach at Pasadena Muir because of his health. Tony Crutchfield and Eric Johnson will be co-coaches for the remainder of the season. . . . Ganesha’s football team may be 2-4 overall, but the Giants are 2-0 in the Valle Vista League after a 36-28 victory over Covina Northview. Jermaine Hunsaker rushed for 176 yards and four touchdowns for Ganesha. . . . With senior Ralph Brown II out because of a separated shoulder, junior Damon Samuels scored four touchdowns to lead La Puente Bishop Amat to a 28-9 victory over Alemany. . . . La Puente Nogales running back Demetrius Stampley missed last week’s game because of a knee injury, but the Nobles still defeated Baldwin Park, 26-20. In five games, Stampley has rushed for 876 yards and eight touchdowns in 74 carries.
