SIGNINGS : Winkler Signs Letter to Attend Utah State
Fountain Valley’s Angie Winkler has signed a letter of intent to attend Utah State for cross-country and track, Baron Coach Dan Moran said.
Winkler was the Orange County cross-country champion, Sunset League champion and Las Vegas Invitational champion.
In track last season, Winkler won the one- and two-mile races at the Trabuco Hills Invitational and was a finalist at the Masters meet, finishing the two-mile race in 10 minutes 58 seconds.

Cypress College sophomore pitcher Rick Clagett signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Utah, Cypress sports information director Alan Lombardi said.
As a freshman, Clagett was 5-0 with an earned-run average of 3.08. Clagett, a right-hander, struck out 27, allowing 31 hits and 12 walks in 38 innings. Clagett, from Las Vegas Western High, plans to play at Cypress this season.
