It seems a different running back is in the spotlight for Dorsey each week. The latest is Dennis Northcutt, a transfer from Washington. In last week’s 48-19 victory over Kennedy in the City Section Division 4-A semifinals, Northcutt rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns in nine carries, caught a 23-yard touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 72 yards. . . . Eagle Rock’s Ismael Lagunas has set single-season school records with 53 receptions for 950 yards and eight touchdowns. His kicking helped the Eagles (11-2) reach their first championship game since the school opened in 1927. In last Friday’s 17-10 overtime victory over Belmont in the City Section Division 3-A semifinals, he kicked a 37-yard field goal with 12 seconds to play to force overtime.
