Wyoming Suspends Ex-Monarch Jackson

Wyoming forward Shaun Jackson, a key member of Mater Dei’s state Division I championship team last season, was suspended indefinitely Friday by Coach Joby Wright for violation of an unspecified team code.
Athletic department officials said the suspension might end soon. It was unclear whether Jackson, a Times all-county selection, would practice with the team.
“This has nothing to do with academics or the rules and regulations of this university, but with his interaction with this team,” Wright said.
Jackson, 6 feet 8, played in Wyoming’s three games, averaging 7.3 points. As a senior with the Monarchs last season, Jackson averaged 17 points, 9.9 rebounds and shot 58% from the field.
