SEASON AT A GLANCE: The Lancers’ two losses this season--to University and Capistrano Valley--came when Detmer was sidelined because of strep throat. Detmer, a 6-foot-3 post player, is a dominant inside player in her third season on the varsity.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Detmer showed that Thousand Oaks is a force to be reckoned with in Marmonte League play by scoring 34 points in the league opener against Camarillo despite playing less than a half. In a showdown against favored Simi Valley on Friday, she had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Thousand Oaks to a 62-56 victory. “We have no one inside who can match up with Detmer,” Simi Valley Coach Dave Murphy said.
