Jackson Leaves Wyoming Basketball Team
Shaun Jackson, in coach Joby Wright’s doghouse for three weeks, has left the Wyoming basketball team, the school announced Thursday.
Jackson, a highly touted 6-foot-6 freshman forward from Mater Dei, was suspended Dec. 8 by Wright for what the coach said was Jackson’s problems with team interaction. Jackson missed one game.
Thursday’s announcement said Jackson was leaving by mutual consent of the player and the coaching staff.
Except to wish Jackson well, Wright said he would have no comment.
Jackson was Wyoming’s No. 5 scorer, averaging 6.7 points in six games.
