Mater Dei depends on Augustine to be its primary go-to guy. Last week at Holiday Prep Classic in Las Vegas, he didn’t disappoint, averaging 21 points as the Monarchs won one of the nation’s most prestigious tournaments. Augustine’s performance was especially noteworthy in a 76-71 quarterfinal victory over Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. He scored 37 points, including a layin with 2.1 seconds left to send the game into overtime and a three-pointer to send it into a second overtime.

* Estancia, senior. Scored 23 points in a 74-70 victory over Capistrano Valley and 21 in a 55-42 victory over Orange.

* Tustin, senior. Had 35 points and eight rebounds in a 74-58 victory over Sonora and scored 25 in a 69-51 victory over Edison.
