HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER ROUNDUP : Rigamat Scores 7, Crescenta Valley Sweeps

Stephanie Rigamat scored seven goals in two matches as the Crescenta Valley girls’ soccer team won twice in pool play at the Ocean View tournament.

Rigamat scored three goals, and Kelly Hom added two in a 5-0 victory over St. Joseph (4-3). Rigamat scored all the goals in the second game, a 4-0 defeat of Huntington Beach (4-1-2).

Marla Nelson and Laura Fawcett split the goaltending duties for the Falcons (7-1-2) in both matches, recording two saves each in each contest.

Capistrano Valley 4, Chaminade 1--The Cougars trailed, 1-0, at halftime but scored four times in the match’s final 10 minutes to defeat the Eagles (9-6-1) in pool play at the Foothill tournament.

Chaminade 1, Chino 1--Chino advanced in the Foothill tournament by outscoring the Eagles (9-6-2) in penalty kicks, 4-3. Amy Watts scored for Chaminade in regulation and once in the shootout. Tami Pivnick and Kari Clevendatscher also scored for the Eagles in the shootout.

BOYS

Alemany 4, Antelope Valley 0--Andy Sutton, Pat McMenamin, John Macdonald and Pat Lufrano scored goals for Alemany (6-4-1) in pool play at the Hart tournament.

Goaltender Chris Dinse had three saves while recording his third shutout. Macdonald’s goal was his 11th.

In other Hart tournament pool-play matches:

Harvard-Westlake 2, Village Christian 1--Jason Morrow scored on a first-half penalty shot and Jon Barry added a goal in the second half for the Wolverines (7-2-1).

Camarillo 1, Burroughs Ridgecrest 0--Jake Lukiewski scored in the 60th minute and Jay Caliguiri made five saves for the Scorpions (4-1-2).

Burroughs 9, Albany 0--Tony Banales scored three goals and Claudio Navarette scored twice as the Indians (6-1-3) built a 7-0 halftime lead in pool play at the Bishop O’Dowd tournament in Oakland.

Simi Valley 3, Gladstone 0--Chris Harris, Sean Herrity and John Gonzalez scored for the Pioneers (9-2-3) in a San Dimas tournament semifinal match.
