Friery Resigns as Van Nuys Coach
Jim Friery, citing personal reasons, has resigned as Van Nuys High baseball coach.
Friery had a record of 15-38 in two seasons and often complained that his team had to play off campus at a city park.
“I’ll do anything I can to help with the transition,” he said.
Friery also said he needed to spend more time with his family but didn’t rule out a return to coaching.
