Beavers, 6 feet 6, is averaging 15 points and a county-best 9.4 rebounds despite often playing against taller opponents. Beavers, from Anniston, Ala., had 19 points and 13 rebounds as Saddleback opened Orange Empire Conference play with a 101-68 victory over Irvine Valley last Wednesday. He came back Friday to score 14 points and get 12 rebounds despite being in foul trouble in an 83-78 victory over Rancho Santiago.
