Woodbridge (27-2)--Starters: Tami Weaver, 5-6, Sr., guard, 5.3 points; Carly Moss, 5-8, Jr., guard, 8.8 points; Erin Stovall, 5-9, Jr., guard, 20.2 points; Melanie Pearson, 6-1, Sr., forward, 15.7 points; Erin Conley, 6-1, Sr., forward, 5 points.
Keys to the game--North has been seeded second the last four years, and each time Coach John Reinhold gathered notes on Woodbridge figuring they would meet in the finals. This is the first time all that studying can be put to use. The Cliff Notes version of what must go right for North: Get good perimeter shooting, avoid defensive mistakes, and contain Stovall--who makes a habit of turning these games into personal showcases. One thing in North’s favor? The Huskies probably won’t be outclassed athletically. One disadvantage? They can’t match Woodbridge’s depth. One prayer? Gray matches her 22.7 playoff average.
