Whittier Finds Its Way Past SCC

Whittier College scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning and went on to a 6-1 victory over Southern California College in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday at SCC.
Vanguard pitcher Kelly Lowery (0-4) gave up seven hits, one walk and one earned run through seven innings, striking out six.
Although the score was tied, 1-1, through six innings, Whittier (3-15-1) scored three unearned runs in the seventh and added two more runs in the eighth.
SCC is 3-15.
In another nonconference game:
The Master’s 11, Concordia 7--Third baseman Derrick Bly had two hits and two RBIs for host Concordia, which will play a doubleheader Saturday at Biola.
