Seipel, Nadeau in the Swing as Canyons Whacks Valley, 8-3

Jeremy Seipel had two hits and two runs batted in, and Rick Nadeau hit a solo home to help College of the Canyons to an 8-3 victory Thursday over Valley in a Western State Conference South Division game at Canyons.
The Cougars (6-8, 3-0 in conference play) scored four unearned runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Valley is 5-11 and 2-2.
Bakersfield 11, Mission 1--The Free Spirit (8-8, 1-3) committed four errors and surrendered eight runs in the seventh inning of a WSC South Division game at Mission.
Free Spirit starter Danny Arguello lasted 6 2/3 innings, striking out two and walking one. He and two relievers allowed only two earned runs.
Oxnard 9, Santa Barbara 2--Matt Buttell had three hits and Eric Farias had two hits for the Condors (10-5, 3-1) in a WSC North Division game at Santa Barbara.
Cuesta 9, Ventura 6--Ron Soriatis hit a three-run double in the eighth inning to break a 6-6 tie for the Cougars (14-3, 3-0) in a WSC North Division game at Ventura.
Joseph Jauregui had three hits and scored a run for the Pirates (7-6, 2-2).
