Garden Grove Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Crash
A Garden Grove motorcycle officer was injured Friday after a pickup truck driver clipped him in an intersection, police said.
The officer, Darrell Rowe, 31, was heading east on Garden Grove Boulevard near Harbor Boulevard when the pickup truck drove in front of him, California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Medina said.
Rowe’s motorcycle skidded on its side about 100 feet, Medina said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was treated for a broken forearm and facial cuts and examined for head injuries.
The pickup truck driver was not harmed or cited. Alcohol was not involved in the collision, authorities said.
