Without Rodman, Bulls Struggle to Defeat 76ers

Michael Jordan had 38 points and 11 rebounds as Chicago struggled before beating the Philadelphia 76ers, 98-94, Monday night at Philadelphia in the Bulls’ first game without suspended forward Dennis Rodman.

Jordan scored 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Bulls won their fourth in a row. Chicago (58-7) has won 10 of its last 11.

Rodman, suspended earlier in the day for six games and fined $20,000 for head-butting a game official on Saturday, wasn’t at the Spectrum to see his team have difficulty against a Philadelphia team that has won only 13 games this season.

Antonio McDyess scored 32 points and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf 27 as the Denver Nuggets ended an eight-game road losing streak with a 122-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors, who got a franchise-record 40 points from Tracy Murray. . . .
