A Good Crowd Will Overcome Bad Press
Saturday’s huge crowd at the Rose Bowl, despite the negative press soccer gets in the local English[-language] media, is proof that Los Angeles soccer fans are hungry for the sport. In fact, the local English media has lost so much credibility among us local soccer fans that we take with a grain of salt anything it has to say on the sport. Sadly, when it comes to reporting or commenting on soccer, the local English media enjoys as much credibility as Saddam Hussein does outside Iraq or Don King does in the boxing world.
