Distance Runners Select Universities

Distance runners Todd Disney and Josh Carolan of Thousand Oaks High have signed national letters of intent with Wyoming and UC Irvine, respectively.

Disney won the 1995 Ventura County cross-country championships and placed third in the State Division I finals. He has personal bests of 4 minutes 22.73 seconds in the 1,600 meters and 9:33.83 in the 3,200.

Illness slowed Carolan during the 1995 cross-country season, but he bounced back to place third in the Division I 1,600 in the Southern Section championships and has run 4:23.86 in that event.
