* DARREN JOE

Westlake, Sophomore

A repeat selection, Joe (45-3) lost twice to Varvais and to Dos Pueblos’ No. 1 player, Bryan Golledge, while playing with a back injury.

* DANNY KIM

Hoover, Junior

Finishing 47-4, Kim lost only one league set and reached the third round of the section tournament, losing to Varvais.

* MATT SNOWDON

Calabasas, Senior

He was 42-0 during the regular season and reached the round of 16 in the Southern Section singles tournament.

* PARKER COLLINS-DAVID WILLWERTH

La Canada

Collins, a freshman, and Willwerth, a senior, beat Phil Ham and Jeff Bernard of Etiwanda for the section championship.

* MATT BAKER-OLIVER LAO

Burbank

Seniors, scholar students and co-captains, Baker and Lao were 38-4 and led the Bulldogs to the section semifinals.

* JAMES WHITE-JASON WEISSBROD

Granada Hills

White, a senior, and Weissbrod, a junior, finished 22-1 and led the Highlanders to the City Section 4-A final.

SECOND TEAM

* ERIN CARROLL

Ventura, Sophomore

A serve-and-volley specialist, Carroll (33-4) had one only bad loss and won the 16s singles title at the Ojai Valley tournament.

* JOE CHRISMAN

Ventura, Junior

Ranked in the top 15 in Southern California 18-and-under singles, Chrisman (34-4) was a bright spot on fifth-place team.

* JI CHUNG

Glendale, Junior

Chung was 56-4, leading the Dynamiters to the Pacific League title and into the Division II playoff quarterfinals.

* DAVID HATKOFF-FARBOD NASSERI

Harvard-Westlake

Hatkoff and Nasseri, both seniors, reached the Division II final and earned All-Southern Section honors.

* KEITH LIPP-TRAVIS MAYES

Royal

Lipp, a sophomore, and Mayes, a senior, were 28-2 as Royal captured the Marmonte League co-championship.

* ERIC GRINDLER-NICK MURPHY

Kennedy

Grindler, a senior, and Murphy, a junior, were 14-0 in matches, 12-0 in playoff sets as Kennedy won the City 3-A title.
