Thousand Oaks Hires Van Wig
Scott Van Wig has been hired to coach the Thousand Oaks High boys’ volleyball team.
Van Wig, 24, who played at Westlake High, was a middle blocker at Pacific Christian College and was named Coastal Conference most valuable player in 1993.
Van Wig, who has coached soccer at La Habra High and taught at Los Cerritos middle school in Thousand Oaks, takes over for James Park, who resigned at the end of last season to spend more time with his family.
Volleyball
Mark Presho has been hired as assistant men’s coach at Pepperdine, Coach Marv Dunphy announced.
Presho, 26, was an All-American outside hitter who played at Hawaii.

Cal State Northridge has selected Ken Castro-Oistad as assistant athletic director for business affairs.
