Parmenter 4th in Florida Meet

Jennifer Parmenter of Granada Hills placed fourth Tuesday in the 200-meter backstroke at the Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Parmenter, who will be a sophomore at L.A. Baptist High, was timed in 2:14.91.
Tennis
Twins Bob and Mike Bryan, recent graduates of Rio Mesa High, lost a first-round doubles match Tuesday at the RCA Championships professional tournament in Indianapolis.
The Bryans, 18, were ousted by the South African pair of Neville Godwin and Grant Stafford, 6-2, 6-4.
Softball
The Valley-based Southern California Stealth won two national softball titles last weekend.
The 12-and-under Stealth won in Altamonte Springs, Ariz. The 14-and-under Stealth won in Midland, Texas.
Football
Adrian Maciel, Santa Clara High’s starting quarterback last season as a sophomore, has transferred to Oxnard.
