Player of the year--Marc Rodieck, former Esperanza soccer player, was not The Times Orange County boys’ player of the year in 1996. That honor went to Orange High’s Aldo Zuniga. That fact was incorrectly reported in Thursday’s edition.

In nonconference women’s soccer:

Irvine Valley 1, Palomar 1--Irvine Valley’s Alia Tabet scored 10 minutes into the game after the Palomar goalkeeper mishandled a cross, but Palomar was able to tie it with five minutes remaining.
