Ventura 21, Santa Barbara 6--Jermaine Jackson scored two touchdowns and the Cougars (3-1) limited Santa Barbara (0-4) to 127 yards in a league opener at Ventura.
Jackson rushed 17 times for 41 yards, including a two-yard scoring run. The 5-foot-9 senior also returned an interception for a 23-yard touchdown.
Ventura’s Mike Anderson completed his first nine passes.He passed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
