Salesian 35, Bell-Jeff 6--The Mustangs (2-3, 1-1) scored on their first five possessions and held Bell-Jeff to 186 yards in a Santa Fe League game at Burroughs High.

Bell-Jeff (0-5, 0-2) avoided the shutout when Dominic Domingo scored on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter. Domingo finished with 69 yards in 11 carries.

David Montes rushed 17 times for 40 yards and had a 65-yard pass completion to his brother, Danny Montes, setting up the Guards’ touchdown. It was Bell-Jeff’s only completion. Quarterback Alex Roldan threw three incomplete passes.

Salesian’s Charlie Soto completed seven of eight passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
