Calabasas Puts Up Roadblock, Downs Moorpark, 32-31

Calabasas High stopped Moorpark running back Jeremy Shoup on a two-point conversion run with no time remaining to hold on to a 32-31 victory in its Frontier League opener Friday night at Moorpark.
Moorpark (3-3) scored on a 44-yard pass from Chad Willis to Erris Green to pull within a point.
Calabasas (5-1) broke a 25-25 tie with one minute eight seconds to play when Robby Coppola’s two-yard run capped a 69-yard, eight-play drive.
Coppola carried 37 times for 216 yards and three touchdowns. Quigley completed three of 10 passes for 51 yards and a touchdown with an interception.
Moorpark’s Willis completed six of 15 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Art Garcia ran for 99 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries.
