Carolyn Kittell

Laguna Beach, Senior; Volleyball/Setter

Kittell had 45 assists the Artists’ victory over Del Mar Torrey Pines in the title match of the Torrey Pines tournament, which included a 25-23 victory in the fifth game, but she did much more than merely distribute. She had 10 blocks, five digs and four kills and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

Sydney Leonard and Christa Fitzgerald/Cross-Country

* Dana Hills. Leonard, a senior, and Fitzgerald, a junior, finished third and fourth as the Dolphins won at the Orange County Championships.

Allyson Marquand/Cross-Country

* University, sophomore. Won at the Orange County Championships for the second year in a row, running 17:39 for 3.05 miles.

Sunny Nicholas/Volleyball/Outside Hitter

* Sunny Hills, junior. Had 23 kills in a four-game victory over Fullerton and 12 in a sweep over Troy.
