Heritage Christian is the only county representative in the eight-man football playoffs.

The Patriots (7-1, 4-1) are seeded third in the small division after finishing second in the Academy League to undefeated Wildomar California Lutheran, which is seeded second. Heritage Christian will host Santa Monica Lighthouse Church (6-2) on Saturday. Heritage’s only loss was to Cal Lutheran, 46-40. Heritage has a four-game winning streak and has scored at least 40 points in every game.

This is Lighthouse Church’s second year of eight-man football, and the Saints have made the playoffs both years.

Heritage defeated Colton Christian Center Academy, 50-0, in the first round and lost in the quarterfinals to Riverside Christian, 62-28.
