With a victory, Foothill will win its third league title in the last five years. The Knights might have the most balanced offensive attack in the county with Haynes’ running and Lang’s passing, but Foothill Coach Tom Meiss insists his team is the underdog. “They’ve been rated ahead of us the whole time,” Meiss said. “We’ve scratched our way to gain a little recognition. They returned so many kids and we had so many young kids. When you’re in the underdog role like we are, you’re concerned whether you can control the ball. I don’t think you can keep them from scoring, they’re really explosive.”
