Hancock 34, Pierce 10--The winless Brahmas could not keep up with the Northern Division powerhouse Bulldogs (8-1, 7-1), who rode a strong third quarter to victory at Righetti High in Santa Maria.
Led by Dan McMullen, who threw for 175 first-half yards and a 11-yard touchdown pass to Leon Weathersby, the Brahmas (0-9, 0-8) led at halftime, 10-7, with a 37-man squad that did not include Jermaine Brooks, the WSC’s leading receiver, because of an ankle injury.
McMullen was 19 of 37 for 206 yards and one interception.
