Dominguez 47, Burroughs 20--In a contest that was more lopsided than the score, Dominguez crushed Burroughs at Dominguez High.

The Dons (10-1) jumped to a 14-0 first-quarter lead on Damon Relf’s 13-yard touchdown run and Vincent Starks’ 39-yard touchdown run.

Dominguez blew the game open in the with 27 points in the second quarter to take a 41-0 halftime lead. The highlight was provided by quarterback Jason Thomas’ 80-yard touchdown run down the right sideline.

Burroughs quarterback J.K. Scott came to life in the second half, throwing for three touchdowns. Scott completed 25 of 45 passes for 419 yards. Scott threw touchdown passes of 12, 65 and 20 yards.

Glen Adriatico had 13 receptions for 209 yards, including touchdown catches of 65 and 20 yards. Kyle Cremarosa caught three passes for 68 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown reception.

Dominguez had three running backs with more than 100 yards. Thomas finished with 116 yards, Starks had 108 and Relf had 101.

Scott finished with 3,010 yards to set a school single-season passing record.

“I’m happy with breaking the record, but I would rather have won the game,” Scott said. “It’s kind of disappointing that this is the last time that I will play with a lot of these guys.”
