Rancho Alamitos running back Leo Kosi has quietly crept up the single season rushing ladder and ranks 10th in the county. He ran for 183 yards in a 50-21 victory over Bellflower last week, upping his career mark to 4,490 yards and surpassing former Vaquero Jeff Byrd. That moved him into fifth place countywide. Sunny Hills beat Costa Mesa, 14-0 last week and has a knack for pulling games out. The three losses were by a total of 17 points. Sunny Hills has allowed only 82 points overall. It has been a long season. Sunny Hills started workouts in mid-August to prepare for a game at Kailua, Ha., which it lost, 8-7.
