Hacienda Heights Los Altos 24, El Monte Arroyo 21--Brian Biang’s 25-yard field goal with 21 seconds left put the host Conquerors (9-3-1) into a section championship game for the first time since 1988.
Biang’s field goal came four plays after Mondo Rosas recovered quarterback Kenny Smith’s fumble at the Arroyo 13-yard line.
Top-seeded Arroyo (11-2) took a 14-0 first-quarter lead on Smith’s four-yard run on its first possession and Shaun Cozart’s 69-yard punt return.
Los Altos quarterback Eddie Santos threw a 19-yard first-quarter touchdown pass to running back Gordon Lepolo and a third-quarter 15-yard pass to Jon Petcel.
