Canyon Shot Floors Valencia, 64-61

David Turner sank a three-point basket at the buzzer Friday night to give Canyon High a 64-61 victory over Valencia and send the Cowboys into tonight’s championship game of the Saugus basketball tournament.

Steve Eernisse scored 27 points and Turner had 18 points and seven assists for Canyon (3-0), which meets Antelope Valley at 5 p.m.

Jason Richardson scored 14 points and Kevin Woods added 13 for the Vikings (2-1), who were outscored, 45-32, in the second half.

In the other Saugus tournament semifinal:

Antelope Valley 65, Highland 54--Le’Tre Kelly scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Antelopes (3-1).

Wendell Bonner had 19 points for Highland (2-1) and Elliott Parmalee added 11 points and six assists.

In other boys’ basketball games:

El Camino Real 72, Dos Pueblos 53--Elan Buller scored 29 points and Josh Lelah added 16 for the Conquistadores (3-1), who thwarted a Dos Pueblos comeback in the semifinals of the Simi Valley tournament.

Dos Pueblos (2-1) went on a 26-10 run that began late in the second quarter, cutting El Camino Real’s lead to 46-41 entering the fourth quarter.

The Conquistadores responded with a 10-3 run to start the fourth.

El Camino Real will play Simi Valley at 8 tonight in the final.

Simi Valley 52, Chaminade 43--Rafael Berumen scored 22 points to help the Pioneers (3-0) hold off the Eagles (2-1) in a Simi Valley tournament semifinal.

Brett Brownson scored 13 points for Chaminade.

Westlake 65, North Bakersfield 60--Jake Stewart, who scored 20 points, made two free throws with seven seconds to play to help the Warriors (2-0) advance to the final of the Morro Bay tournament.

Buena 62, Thousand Oaks 60--Ryan Fay had 20 points and seven rebounds, and T.J. Stafford had 18 points and eight assists for the Bulldogs (2-1), who held off the Lancers (1-2) in the third-place game of the Loyola tournament.

Burbank 73, Hoover 62--Steve Silvera scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half to rally the Bulldogs in the championship game of the Burbank-Hoover tournament.

Most valuable player Juni Williams added 18 points.

Crescenta Valley 73, Burroughs 65--The Falcons sank 32 of 38 second-half free throws in the third-place game of the Burbank-Hoover tournament at Burbank.

Guard Andrius Ragauskas scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half for the Falcons.

St. Francis 52, Glendale 48--The Knights (2-1) rallied behind Anthony Johnson’s 28 points to win the consolation final of the Burbank-Hoover tournament.

Channel Islands 75, Temescal Canyon 48--Charles Merricks scored 21 points for the Raiders (2-0) and O.J. Thomas added 14 points and seven assists in a second-round game of the Nordhoff tournament.

Calabasas 81, Cate 63--Ryan Coleman had 27 points and eight assists for the Coyotes (3-0) at Cate (2-1). Spencer Hariton added 19 points for Calabasas.

Lemoore 100, Canoga Park 80--Carloes Harper scored 21 points for the Hunters (2-2) in a pool-play loss in the Buchanan tournament in Fresno.

Earlier, the Hunters--ranked second in the region by The Times--defeated Buchanan, 88-78. Harper scored 27 points, Vlade Sandoval added 21 and Redmond had 20.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 76, North Hollywood 58--The Falcons (4-0) outscored the Huskies (3-1), 25-8, in the third quarter to break open a close game and win the Crescenta Valley tournament.

Tara Gregory had 25 points, six steals and six assists, and tournament MVP Michelle Greco added 21 points, 17 rebounds, five steals and five assists for Crescenta Valley.

El Camino Real 48, Sylmar 21--Cara Blumfield had 19 points and six steals, and Aja Diamond had 15 points, nine steals and six assists for the Conquistadores (2-0) at El Camino Real.

Birmingham 44, Grant 31--Tanya Silva scored 15 points for the Braves (2-0) at Grant.

Kennedy 74, Van Nuys 23--Tammy Barber had 25 points, 25 rebounds and 11 steals, and Coyles Scarbrough added 17 points, five steals and four assists for the Golden Cougars (4-1) at Kennedy.

Oxnard 50, Long Beach Jordan 47--Jaline Bradley scored 21 points for the Yellowjackets (1-2) in pool play of the Irvine Woodbridge tournament.

Danielle Curtis added 13 points and 15 rebounds for Oxnard, and Danya Walker scored 10 points.

Moorpark 72, Louisville 58--Becky Witt scored 23 points for the Royals (2-1) in a loss to Moorpark (3-0) in the second round at the Fillmore tournament.
