SEASON AT A GLANCE: One of the best two-sport stars in the area, Detmer missed most of the volleyball season while suffering from mononucleosis. She returned for the playoffs and the Lancers advanced to the Southern Section Division I-A semifinals. Now fully recovered, Detmer is averaging 20 points and 10.1 rebounds a game for the Lancers this season.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Detmer, a top post player in the area, led Thousand Oaks to Marmonte League victories over Simi Valley and Channel Islands--both of whom were in first place at the time--creating a four-way tie for first with two weeks remaining in the regular season. Detmer had 23 points in the Lancers’ 61-56 victory over Simi Valley. Two nights later, Detmer scored 19 in a 56-41 win over Channel Islands.
