SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

The aftermath of both of the O.J. Simpson trials will be explored this week in Thousand Oaks, as the Fred Goldman family has selected the Barnes & Noble as the site of its local book signing, while prosecutor Christopher Darden visits Borders Books.

Goldman, wife Patti and daughter Kim, who waited for the punitive damages verdict in the O.J. Simpson wrongful-death civil trial before beginning the tour, will sign their book, “His Name Is Ron,” at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the bookstore at 160 S. Westlake Blvd.

Darden, a 15-year veteran of the L.A. County district attorney’s office and associate professor of law at Southwestern University, will be at Borders from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday to sign the paperback edition of his bestseller, “In Contempt,” written with Jess Walter.

Brown, a Moorpark College instructor, has written “Beautiful Beast,” a biography of Nazi concentration-camp guard Irma Grese. Brown will sign his book and show news clips and slides of the 1945 war crimes trials at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
