In other boys’ volleyball matches:

Palisades d. Chatsworth, 5-15, 15-10, 12-15, 15-12, 15-5--Poor passing in the final two games cost the Chancellors (0-1), who blew a 2-1 advantage in games and dropped a nonconference match at Chatsworth.

Chris Wilson had 18 kills and six blocks, and Stephen Weissner and Kevin Dawes each had 14 kills for the Chancellors.

Setter Arash Khairi finished with 61 assists for Chatsworth.

Littlerock d. Cathedral, 15-8, 15-7, 15-17, 15-11--Marc Mailander had 11 kills, 19 digs and eight aces, and Brian Brown chipped in with 17 kills for the Lobos (1-0) in a nonleague match at Cathedral (0-1).

Chris Gorny collected 11 kills, seven blocks and five aces, and Chuck Jones had 33 assists for Littlerock.

Granada Hills d. Roosevelt, 15-2, 15-7, 15-11--Chris Tran had 11 kills and Shawn Litchfield added six kills and five aces for the Highlanders (1-0) in a nonconference match at Granada Hills.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Calabasas 10, Camarillo 8--In a matchup between two of the region’s best teams, two freshmen lifted the Coyotes (2-0) in a nonleague match at Camarillo.

Nick Weiss and Alex Menichini won all six of their sets at Nos. 1 and 2 singles for Calabasas.

Coyotes Brandon Parker and Jonathan Yee swept the Scorpions (2-1) at No. 1 doubles.

Campbell Hall 17, Crespi 1--Freshman Adam Zunder improved his record to 9-0 at No. 1 singles for the Vikings (3-0) in a nonleague match at Campbell Hall.

Monroe 7, Franklin 0--Mark Ranches, Robbie Parras, Danny Rubin and Kaz Gohlke each won their singles matches in straight sets in the nonconference match at Monroe.

Hart 11, Royal 7--Patrick Pomer won three sets by 6-0 scores at No. 1 singles, and Andrew Davidson and Brian Yung swept at No. 1 doubles for the Indians in a nonleague match.
