Brigham Young, with sophomore Ryan Millar of Highland High, plays Cal State Northridge in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match tonight at Northridge at 7 p.m.

Millar leads the Cougars (16-3, 11-3 in conference play) with 446 kills, 128 blocks and 135 digs. The 1995 Times’ player of the year in the region, Millar averages 6.1 kills, 1.8 blocks and 1.9 digs per game for BYU, ranked third in the coaches’ poll.

The 14th-ranked Matadors (13-10, 7-8) are chasing an MPSF wild-card spot and are trying to reverse a four-game loss to the Cougars earlier this season.

Chad Strickland averages 5.1 kills per game and Collin Smith has 188 digs for the Matadors.
