Holly Debus, a freshman at Esperanza High School, has been chosen as a flute player in the 1997 Southern California School Band and Orchestra Assn.’s Junior High Orchestra.

Debus, who lives in Yorba Linda, auditioned for the position with about 200 other Southern California flute players. She has been in the association’s Junior High Band for the past two years.
