Oak Park Evens the Score, 16-6

Dan Wasserman hit two home runs and a double Tuesday and Oak Park High routed St. Bonaventure, 16-6, to tie the Seraphs for the Tri-Valley League baseball lead at Oak Park.

After splitting two games, the teams play a final time May 2.

Wasserman, a senior center fielder, drove in six runs for the Eagles (9-5, 4-1 in league play), who led, 5-0, after one inning and 13-3 after three innings.

Jeff Roberts (5-1) allowed five hits and six runs--three earned--in six innings for the Eagles. He struck out four and walked three.

Bryce Johnson had two hits for the Seraphs (7-7, 4-1), who committed six errors.

Chaminade 6, Alemany 2--Chris Martinez hit a grand slam in a Mission League game at Chaminade.

Ryan Hamill hit his ninth home run of the year for the Eagles (16-1, 2-1), The Times’ top-ranked team in the region.

Hart 16, Saugus 2--Chris Wright had two grand slams and finished with 10 RBIs for the Indians (11-6, 5-1) in a Foothill League game at Saugus.

Verdugo Hills 3, Marshall 0--Nick LoSardo pitched a no-hitter for the Dons (7-1, 6-1) in a Northern Conference game at Marshall.

LoSardo (4-1) had five strikeouts and no walks but three errors by his teammates deprived him of a perfect game.

Burroughs 13, Canyon 1--Robert Barillas (1-0) pitched a three-hitter for the Indians in the Foothill League game at Burroughs.

Tommy Perez had three hits, including a home run, three RBIs and scored four runs for Burroughs (11-5, 6-0).

Valencia 2, Burbank 1--Chris Honaker (3-1) pitched a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Vikings in a Foothill League game at Valencia.

L.A. Baptist 7, Kilpatrick 6--Josh Hilliger hit a two-run single in the seventh inning of an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.

Hilliger had two hits and three RBIs for the Knights (10-6, 4-0).

Hoover 6, Crescenta Valley 1--Paul Woodmansee pitched a five-hitter and Mark Hull had two hits, including a home run, for the Tornadoes.

Birmingham 9, Granada Hills 1--Facundo Barrera hit a two-run home run in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Birmingham.

Brian Fox and Nathan Herkelrath combined on a three-hitter with eight strikeouts for the Braves (12-9, 4-3).

Sylmar 12, Canoga Park 1--Carlos Gonzalez (1-2) allowed four hits and struck out seven in five innings, and had three hits and four RBIs for the Spartans (10-6, 7-0) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Sylmar.

Mario Pacheco had three hits and scored two runs, and Jesse Cortez had a double, home run and two RBIs for the Spartans.

Taft 7, Cleveland 2--Matt Aaronson had three hits, scored three runs and drove in two for the Toreadors in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Cleveland.

Jeff Spector had three hits and drove in two runs for Taft. Justin Savitt had three hits and drove in two runs for the Cavaliers (8-8, 4-3).

Grant 10, Van Nuys 6--Esteban Saldivar had two hits and four RBIs for the Lancers (7-10, 4-3) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Grant.

Santa Clara 7, Santa Paula 2--Kevin Gormley had three hits and two RBIs for the Saints (5-6, 3-3) in a Frontier League game at Santa Paula.

Moorpark 10, Malibu 4--Chris Doan had two hits and three RBIs and Tim Heinrich allowed two hits and struck out eight in six innings for the Musketeers (9-7, 4-2) in a Frontier League game at Moorpark.

Calabasas 8, Nordhoff 3--Brian Fatur led off the game with his eighth home run and added two singles for the Coyotes (15-2) in a Frontier League game.

Loyola 26, Harvard-Westlake 11--Jordan Krall had three hits and two RBIs for the Wolverines (3-7, 1-2) in a Mission League game at Franklin Field.

Crespi 13, St. Francis 3--Brian Felten struck out 10 and allowed two hits in a Mission League game at Occidental College.

Felten, who did not allow a hit after the first inning, had three hits and scored three runs for the Celts (13-6, 4-1).

El Camino Real 5, San Fernando 2--Shaun Fishman had two hits and three RBIs for the Conquistadores (9-7, 4-3) in a Northwest Valley Conference game at San Fernando.
