In other Orange Empire Conference baseball games:

Fullerton 8, Orange Coast 0--Ray Kennedy (4-2) threw a four-hitter with seven strikeouts. Brian Logan was three for five with a home run, a double and four RBIs and Nick Garcia had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Fullerton (20-18, 6-13).

Rancho Santiago 8, Golden West 1--Eric Sobek hit his sixth home run of the season in the third inning to give Rancho Santiago a 3-0 lead. Sobek was three for five with two RBIs and Chad Baum had two hits and drove in three runs for the Dons (33-4-1, 16-3).

Rancho Santiago’s Jeff Bowman (6-0) gave up five hits, struck out four and walked two in his first complete game of the season.

In the Orange Empire Conference women’s softball:

Fullerton 6, Rancho Santiago 5--Fullerton almost blew a six-run lead in the bottom of the seventh when Rancho Santiago put together a five-run rally.

Fullerton (31-10, 16-1) made four pitching changes in the seventh to prevent a successful Rancho Santiago (26-17, 11-6) comeback.

In the Antelope Valley softball tournament:

Cypress 9, Chaffey 0 (5, mercy)--Sophia Garcia was four for four with an RBI and two runs for Cypress (53-3).

In an earlier game, Jessica Walker tripled twice and drove in two runs for Cypress, which defeated Pasadena, 9-2.

Melissa Beck was three for four with a triple and two RBIs for Cypress.

In the Orange Empire Conference women’s tennis tournament:

Erickson wins singles, doubles title--Cami Erickson of Orange Coast won the singles title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Saddleback’s Gabi Rios. Erickson teamed with Whitney Gilliam for a 6-3, 6-4 sweep of Judy Durr and Penny Jones of Golden West.

Saddleback finished first among the teams in the four-day tournament at Cypress.
