In the Freeway League:

Fullerton 7, Troy 0--Freshman Michael Davern pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts and Josh Leach hit his seventh home run for the Indians (9-8, 4-4).

La Habra 3, Buena Park 0--Sophomore Ryan Huff (4-2) gave up seven hits, struck out three and walked none for La Habra (11-5, 4-4), which won its seventh consecutive game.

Sonora 10, Sunny Hills 4--Mike Winzenread had three hits and two RBIs and Jeremy Weinberg hit a two-run homer, his seventh, for ninth-ranked Sonora (15-3, 7-1).

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 8, Bolsa Grande 1--Steve Lee earned his ninth victory for eighth-ranked La Quinta (18-3, 5-1), which scored six unearned runs.

Santiago 4, Los Amigos 3--Eddie Rodriguez doubled in the tying run and Steve Lopez followed with a squeeze bunt to score the winning run to cap a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh for Santiago.

In the Golden West League:

Ocean View 10, Santa Ana 5--Pete Montrenes hit a three-run home run and Bobby Mayorga had three hits and four RBIs for Ocean View (8-11, 3-5).

Servite 5, Tustin 4--In the bottom of the sixth, Alvan Loreto hit an RBI single to drive in Chris Zimprich with the tying run, then Chris Bailey scored the winning run on a throwing error for host Servite (17-2, 8-0).

In the Orange League:

Magnolia 7, Anaheim 3--Rich Michelson had two hits, drove in a run, and struck out all four batters he faced in relief to earn the save as the 10th-ranked Sentinels improved to 14-1-1, 7-1.

Valencia 18, Brea Olinda 6--Jason Annis had three hits and four RBIs and David Towery had three doubles, a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs for host Valencia (11-7, 4-4).

Western 8, Savanna 1--Ben Swanson had three hits and five RBIs for Western (10-9, 4-4).

In the Sea View League:

El Toro 7, Newport Harbor 3--Brandon Gilligan (3-2) pitched the first complete game of the season for the Chargers (10-8-1, 4-3-1).

Irvine 9, Santa Margarita 3--Matt Brundage pitched a complete game to defeat the fourth-ranked Eagles (16-3, 7-1). Steve Snyder had four hits and two RBIs for Irvine (12-7, 6-2), which plays Santa Margarita Friday.

In the South Coast League:

Mater Dei 7, Dana Hills 3--Mike Kolbach struck out 10 and earned his fifth victory. He also had three hits, including a home run, for host Mater Dei (15-3, 8-0), ranked third in the county.

Trabuco Hills 2, Capistrano Valley 1--Reliever Graham Robby worked out of a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the victory for visiting Trabuco Hills (8-9, 3-5).

Todd Gelatka hit a one-out home run in the seventh to tie it, 1-1, then Billy Ortiz hit a two-out single to score Brett Woodhull from third with the winning run for Trabuco Hills.

In the Sunset League:

Esperanza 11, Edison 5--Nathan Choate earned his seventh victory, Tommy Nicholson had three hits and three RBIs and David Parrish hit his sixth home run for second-ranked Esperanza (15-3, 7-1).

Tony Cappuccilli set a school record for home runs in a season, seven, hitting a grand slam for Edison (1-7 in league).

Los Alamitos 6, Fountain Valley 5--Rollie Wing hit a two-run home run for the host Griffins (5-13, 1-7), who scored three unearned runs in the sixth to upset the Barons (12-7, 6-2), ranked seventh in the county.

Marina 14, Huntington Beach 1--Kenny LaPoint tied a county and Southern Section record hitting four doubles for the visiting Vikings (12-7, 5-3). Jeff Jones hit a grand slam for Marina, which had 16 hits, and winning pitcher Paul Stewart (6-2) also homered.
