With the victory over Westlake, Santa Margarita avenged a five-game loss to the Warriors earlier this season in the Santa Barbara tournament.

“In this matchup, who knows what’s going to happen?” Santa Margarita Coach Eddie Rapp said. “Fortunately for us, we ended up on top. But it could have gone either way.”

Ocean View (20-1) plays Forestville El Molino in the Division III final at 1:30 p.m. The Seahawks earned the berth in the championship match by defeating La Jolla, 14-16, 15-6, 4-15, 15-4, 15-12. Sharon Shelton had 29 kills and served four aces, including one in the fifth game that gave Ocean View a 14-8 lead.
