UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY : GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

The state tournament finals are Saturday at Cypress College and three Orange County teams will vie for their first state volleyball championships. In the Division I final at 7 p.m., Sunset League co-MVP Lindsay Phillips leads Marina (21-2) against three-time state champion San Jose Archbishop Mitty (28-2). In Division II, Santa Margarita (22-5) will play the top-ranked team in the state, two-time state champion Mountain View St. Francis (33-3), at 5 p.m. In Division III, Ocean View (20-1) will play Forestville El Molino (32-5), a 1992 state finalist, at 1:30 p.m.
