Knights Look Solid in Their Pinstripes

They’re dressed well, those Conejo Knights.

The Knights, an American Legion baseball team of players from Thousand Oaks High, benefited from the connections of Lancer Coach Bill Sizemore this summer when it came to their wardrobe.

Sizemore, a former professional coach, has a friend in the Florida Marlins’ organization who helped purchase 25 uniforms with matching hats from the Charlotte Knights, the Marlins’ triple-A farm team.

The purple and teal pinstriped outfits cost the Knights about $32 each but Sizemore estimates their retail price at about $120.

“We would have bought T-shirts or something otherwise, so things turned out pretty well and the kids like looking sharp,” Sizemore said.
