Man Shot to Death After Confronting Pedestrian
A 22-year-old Rosemead man who got out of a car to argue with a pedestrian was shot to death, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday.
David Godoy was a passenger in a car in the 8700 block of Ramona Boulevard in Rosemead on Monday about 7 p.m. when Godoy and a friend, who was driving the car, stopped to “challenge” a passerby, Deputy Kim Unland said.
Godoy got out of the car and was shot once in the upper torso by the pedestrian, who ran away, Unland said. Godoy died at the scene.
The gunman was described as in his late teens or early 20s, but few other details were available.
The slaying was gang-related, Unland said.
