GIRLS’ TENNIS

Santa Barbara d. Palmdale by forfeit--The Falcons (9-9) were forced to forfeit the first-round match of the Southern Section Division II playoffs--which was rained out Thursday--because they couldn’t field a full team for the makeup match in Santa Barbara today.

“We had too many kids who couldn’t get out of class early again,” Palmdale Coach Lynn McClung said. “And with the second round on Saturday, the match had to be played Friday.”
