Village Christian 52, St. Genevieve 0--Running back David Romberger rushed for 233 yards and five touchdowns in 20 carries for the Crusaders at Kennedy High.

Romberger, who has 391 yards rushing in two games after gaining 1,321 yards as a junior, scored on runs of 62, 15, one, four and six yards.

The Crusaders (1-1) led, 28-0, at the half, scoring on four of five possessions.

Village Christian, which amassed 353 total yards, was also sparked by quarterback Jeff Johnston, who passed for a touchdown and ran for another. Johnston completed four of nine passes for 60 yards.

St. Genevieve (0-2), which had only 21 players, gained 84 yards and committed five turnovers. Running back Clifford Rivera, who rushed for 102 yards last week against Chadwick, was held to 30 yards in 18 carries.
